AB1561 COMPARISON OF DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMANCE OF TRUENAT™ MTB PLUS AND XPERT® ULTRA (GX) IN PATIENTS OF OSTEOARTICULAR TUBERCULOSIS (OATB): EXPERIENCE FROM NORTH INDIA

Background Diagnostic delay and drug resistance not only worsen the outcomes of tuberculosis, but are also important impediments to TB elimination efforts. Prompt accurate diagnosis osteoarticular tuberculosis (OATB) along with simultaneous detection is crucial decrease morbidity associated sequelae. Objectives Given need for a near point-of-care test suitable primary healthcare centers resistance, Truenat MTB Plus (TruPlus), chip-based real-time polymerase chain reactionassay, was evaluated first time OATB rifampicin from pus synovial fluid samples. Methods Total 100 fluid/pus samples (20 microbiologically confirmed OATB[culture-positive], 50 clinically [culture-negative], 30 control patients) were subjected TruPlus assay Xpert Ultra (GX Ultra)assay; their performance compared. Results against both culture composite reference standard. The overall sensitivity specificity in diagnosing 77.14%(54/70) 100%, respectively. 90% (18/20) cases 72% (36/50) cases. Performance superior ultra (sensitivity = 70%). Overall, GX 70% 100%. However, 85% 64% (32/50) suspected OATB. Both Gx correctly reported Rifampicin four cases, when compared phenotypic DST rpoB gene sequencing.
